Description

In this compact metroidvania, aid Leit on her mission to save her people and fight the menacing music that curses the land. She will meet a secretive old man, an oblivious scout and a rather desperate merchant on her quest, before battling two powerful fiends that stand between her and the dark source of the Cadence. With rhythm-based combat and haunting music, take a glimpse into a murky fairytale world of mystery and woe. Strike up your strings.

The art, UI and overall aesthetics are over the top. It is heavily inspired, but that's okay. Really love how well you pulled everything together.

Marvelous and distinguished game! The idea to combine music game qte with combat is defintely innovative! And here are some advice: 

1. A Bug Exists lol : when I back to game from the credit page, the music stopped and i can't do the qte attack either. I also can't qiut the game since it lacks a quit bottom.

2. There is a certain phase offset between the music and the QTE .  Add a System for calibration and increase the reaction time for QTEs will defintely improve the playing experience. 

All in all , it's defintely a great innovation and a nice try. Wish to see your next version. :-)

Thank you so much, and yes the game has a lot of bugs 😭 More then you expect, Also I did not realize there was a phase offset, I might revisit the idea in another jam, and actually focus on the mechanics this time xd.

I love your art and concept ! I can imagine some other simple rhythms, but they might be too difficult to play. In the third and fourth rooms, when I died, the game restarted from the beginning, which is a bit frustrating.

Yh the game was held by sticks xd, the game was not intended to be this hard, I didn't get enough playtesters in time, anyways thanks man <3

Love it, I think I would prefer if I could always attack but the further off beat i was the less damage it would do. But then again it wouldn’t sound as satisfying to play i guess. Either way great job!
